Love Always Mixed Media Canvas - Prima May PPP

Hi everyone, finally I got my laptop back from the repair shop so lots to share with you over the next few days.

First up is my take on this months Prima PPP. Again, beautiful colour scheme in the Products Picks for May. 

I wanted to make something a little different and special this month. I found a feather template on Pinterest and decided to create a mixed media canvas. 

I started off by applying texture paste to the Prima mask. I then crazy with the Colour Bloom mists. Have you tried them yet? They are amazing!!! I have used them as sprays and as a pain and I love them. On my canvas I used sparkling pastel cotton candy, sparkling pastel iris, sparkling pastel pearl white, sparkling pastel storm cloud, sparkling pastel sunshine, vintage metal tea stain and some summer sky. They blend so well together.

I used Prima Princess papers and the Prima feather mask. I applied modelling paste to the feathers and once dried I cut into the shape I wanted. I added a tiny bit of Perfect Pearls to the Colour Bloom Mist in  sparkling pastel pearl white to create a shimmer effect on the feathers. I then layered my paper feathers and glued some turkey feathers in between to create depth and the appearance of angel wings.

I used a Prima vine and some tiny flowers at the top and bottom.

I used the gorgeous resin angels as my titles for my canvas. I painted on some colour bloom mist in vintage metal tea stain to the wings and used some of my mixture from the paper feathers for the bodies and face.
