My Little Princess Altered Clock

Hi everyone and thanks for joining me again today.

I've been working on this little altered clock for the last few days and finally managed to get it finished today.

I picked the clock up from a local home decor shop. It was painted cream with vintage style numerals . I was inspired to make it into something a little special.

Here is the finished clock and I will follow with some close up's.

The next photo is terrible, I took it with my tablet before I got my new camera. I have included it because I wanted to show what the clock looked like before I added the photos and embellishments. I cut the Prima Princess paper to size and used the Prima bird mask with texture paste. I then added colour to the paste using pastel oil crayons.

The pearls and roses were from a Prima Say it with Crystals set that I had in my stash. I used some vintage lace from my (large) collection to trim the clock and I also added some fibres. I love adding fabrics and fibres to my altered art, it just finishes it off.

I cut a large Prima vine in half so that I could use it at both sides of my clock. I added some extra Prima blooms. these were originally white but I gave them a little spray with Prima Color Bloom Mists in Peony and Cotton Candy. I added a Prima butterfly and a Prima Divine flair badge.

I added some texture paste to my Dusty Attic chip board frame. I used some more Color Bloom mists in Cotton Candy and Sunshine. I then added some Gleam cream (similar to Rub n Buff) to the edges. Once that had dried I glued the frame onto a beautiful Prima chipboard note card.

My friend Narelle made me this beautiful hat pin to compliment the Prima vines.

It took me a few attempt to get the side of the clock the way that I wanted it. First I painted it pastel pink, using normal paint from the DIY store. I didn't like the effect so I then painted it with Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint in Milled Lavender. Still didn't like it, so then used some of my sand Ingvild Bolme chalk edgers to get the effect I liked.

A side view of my clock.

Thank you again for joining me today. I loved making this clock. My addiction to Prima products makes it so easy to create beautiful pieces.

Until next time,

Jen xxx
