Altered vintage jewellery cases

Hi again everyone :-).

Next up are 2 vintage jewellery cases that I purchased from a local antique group. They are both quite different, one vintage and one shabby chic. I will start with the largest of the 2.

I used papers from the Marion smith Designs Nirvana range on this case.

I added another of my tim Holtz keys and some chain and brads.

I used Dusty Attic chipboard and covered it with Texture paste. I then painted the texture paste with Luminarte Twinkling H20's.

I did some fussy cutting of the Marion Smith papers and added some Dusty Attic flowers.

The clear glass vine is from Green Tara.

Here is a side view of the case.

Now onto the mini shabby chic version.

I used the debut paper range from Blue Fern Studies. Loads of fussy cut flowers which were inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink. I mounted them with foam tape to add dimension.

I added this Prima vintage lady to the bottom.

The Dusty Attic chip board was painted white and I added some Dusty Attic mini roses in a co-ordinating colour.

The rose embellishment I made myself using a rubber mould and beeswax. I melted the beeswax in a Ranger melting pot and poured into the mild. I then gave it a coat of Gesso and painted it with Smooch Glimmer Glam. I added some more Dusty Attic roses  and some vintage lace to finish the box off.

So which one is your favourite? Vintage or shabby chic? Leave me a comment and let me know :-).

Until next time
