Hi again Crafty Friends, lots to share with you this week.
First up is my next DT project for The Scrapbook Store. I've been really lucky with my first DT pack. The full Bo Bunny Madeline paper collection and embellishments. This morning I am sharing an altered handbag and later on today I have my very first tutorial :-).
This was an actual handbag that I managed to pick up at a local charity shop. I loved the shape of it and couldn't wait to alter it with this gorgeous paper line.
I started off by giving the handle and clasps a coat of Gesso. I then painted them pastel pink. I cut up long strips of the patterned paper and created a weave effect around the handle. I then used some pastel pink pearl trim to finish it off. The original sticker came with the Bo Bonny embellishment pack and was perfect for my original, one of a kind handbag :-).
I covered the front, back and sides of the bag with the Elegance patterned paper and trimmed with some natural lace.
I fussy cut some of the birds and adhered them with some mounting tape to give a 3D effect. The chipboard is Cherry Blossom by 2 Crafty. I heat embossed it with Stampendous Frantage Aged Ivory embossing enamel. I added a hat pin from my own collection and some Green Tara mini roses.
Another sticker from the Bo Bunny Madeline sticker sheet.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you like my little handbag. I think it looks fantastic with this beautiful paper collection. Be sure and pop back later today for another project for The Scrapbook Store.
