Hi everyone, I'm back today with a mixed media wall hanging which I created for Art Anthology.
My inspiration for this little wall hanging came from my oldest daughter in Scotland. She's 24, a photography student and she has some wacky friends. I mean that in the nicest possible way ;-). She recently moved into a new flat with some of her friends and the idea for my wall hanging came to me.
I started off by prepping my canvas board with a coat of Velvet Dimensional paint in Teal. I used a brush and also a brayer to add some texture.
I used my Art Anthology swirl stencil and Stucco texture paste to add dimension.
I then started painting with a variety of my paint colours.
I added some detailing to my swirls with my journalling pens and then started stamping. The people stamps are by Stampotique Originals.
The chipboard fence is by Dusty Attic and I painted it with Art Anthology Stone Effect medium in Brick. Love this paint!!! I then stamped with a script and added some glitter and outlining.
The title was created using the Dylusions for Ranger alphabet stamp set. I don't have a very steady hand so some of my lines are wonky but I like that effect :-). I added some purple chain to the outside and top.
I punched holes and threaded some beads with craft wire to give the bottom more colour and a psychadelic feel.
To finish my fence off I added this image which I found on the internet.
Heartthrob by Daniel Torrente for Stampotique.
Bob's in Time Out also by Daniel Torrente for Stampotique.
I hope you like my wall hanging, I had so much fun creating it for Art Anthology. I need more of these stamps!!!!
I'll be back later this week with another project :-).
