Hello Crafty Friends, hope you all had a fantastic weekend. It was a holiday weekend here in WA so lots of family time here.
I wanted to share something with you today that I have decided to undertake. something that I'm quite excited about.
Yasminah's Gift of Hope is an Australian charity set up up by an amazing lady after her beautiful daughter was born stillborn. The lady tirelessly raises funds to make up beautiful packs for recently bereaved parents in NICU units all over Australia. One of the items included in the pack is a Memory journal. A journal for the parents to write all their thoughts and emotions after child loss.
As most of you know this is a subject very close to my heart. I lost my beautiful daughter in an accident in 2011 aged 3 years. Maisie was my reason for starting "My Creative Journey", I had never been creative before that. Everything I make or create is in her honour, hence my blog name All for my Princess. So, it seems fitting that I should put some of that creativity into helping others. I have decided to commit to 5 journals per month, some with paper products, some with fabrics. If I can do something to help ease the pain of child loss, just a little, then it seems this is what I was mean't to do.
