Hi everyone, it's challenge time again and I'm entering at the last possible minute. The theme over at Once Upon A Sketch this month was a subject very close to my heart. "Never Forget". For some reason I struggled with this theme and layout, too emotional I suppose. Anyway finally managed to get it finished. First of all here is the sketch and link to OUAS:

I struggled to get my photos to do my layout justice. A wet, overcast day here in Perth made it practically impossible to get the right light.

I used a the Prima peacock feather mask and some texture paste to create the feather effect. Numerous paints, mists, inks were used until I got the effect I liked. I also added a cream Manor House creations peacock feather to add to it.

The paper used was the gorgeous Vintage Garden by Pion Design, I dded loads of fussy cutting round the image of my beautiful daughter. You can see the title "Never Forget".

I was asked by the fantastic Mel Connell to Guest Design over at her Etsy shop for her moulds. I love these moulds and have used them in quite a few of my layouts, the attention to detail in them are just amazing. I was sent this frame which is one of the new releases and just fell in love with it. I added a coat of Gesso, some silver paint and touched it up with some Luminarte artists pigments. Take a minute to check out Mel's Etsy shop, Moulds by Mel..

OUAS is all about journalling on your layout, something I am guilty of not doing. It's one of the reasons I love entering the challenge, to take me out of my comfort zone. However, due to the the theme of this layout, I wanted to keep my thoughts and emotions private. I have added the journalling to the back on a tag.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you like my layout "Never Forget". My beautiful Princess Maisie, you will certainly NEVER be forgotten xxxx
