My Creative Journey

Hi everyone, hope you are having a good week so far. Time for another challenge this time with Prima Product Picks (PPP). I've only entered a Prima challenge once before and the last time I won it, so the pressure is on this month. It's made a lot easier with the beautiful colour palette that we are getting to work with. 

Here ate the August PPP details:

I decided to create a lovely little Spring Bicycle basket. It's Winter here in Australia so just the thing to cheer me up.

I started off by giving the bike a of coat of Gesso to prime it. It was originally a brown plant pot holder so needed a couple of coats. I then painted in a bright, sunny lemon.

I cut my Prima paper which is the Hello Pastel range into strips and weaved it through the basket. This stage took forever.

More strips added to the wheels and frame, then I cut thin strips of mint lace to tidy up the edges and give it a more finished look. I added some chipboard, again from the Hello Pastel range to finish it off.

A couple of Hello Pastel brads, some ribbon and loads of Prima flowers in the basket and it's all done.
