Hi everyone, one of my Facebook friends Lucy Muraca set up a challenge this month. It's called "You Show Me Yours". The basic concept of the challenge is that Lucy will send us an image every month and a group of us will scrap this image and see all the differing results. There are a lot of very talented artists taking part in this challenge.

Firstly, here is the image :

I love everything vintage, particularly vintage photography so knew I wanted to make something really special with this image. I decided I didn't want to do a scrap layout and wanted to do a fabric canvas.

Here is my take on "You Show Me Yours"

I added some beautiful vintage lace to the canvas, then used some edging to give it a frame effect. I hand stitched beading to the bottom of the edging to give it a prettier effect.

This was I quote that I found on Pinterest and I thought it was just perfect for the canvas.

I used some Tim Holtz crackle pain in milled lavender on the Dusty Attic chipboard, then glued some beads onto it. I added some millinery feathers in the same colour for effect.

I used the beautiful  "Alma's Sewing Room" paper by Pion Designs to frame the image then hand stitched it onto some sheer fabric. I did some fussy cutting round the paper roses to add a bit of dimension.,

Final touches included a  hand made  flower using the beautiful lace and I added a vintage Prima button and a hat pin.

Hope you like my canvas, I had a lot of fun making it and will definitely  be working with fabrics again. I've put the links below to my fellow scrappers who are also taking part in the challenge. Be sure and visit to see their take on the image.  Thanks for dropping in.
